Jaden Easton, the co-founder of Clients & Community and Founder of Clever Scaling, has gained valuable insights and experience while scaling his own business. He made both effective and costly decisions, but ultimately learned from them and now uses his knowledge to consult with other 6, 7, and 8-figure client-based businesses. Easton helps these businesses install the appropriate technology and processes so that they can scale their operations without sacrificing their well-being.
“Don’t trade freedom for success,” Easton says. “We entrepreneurs tend to think that we have to do everything ourselves. Guess what? We don’t. Once you start to realize the power of mentorship, networking, and the pursuit of true freedom, everything starts to change.”
It’s a common occurrence in entrepreneurship that the very freedom that initially attracted individuals to starting a business ends up being the first thing they sacrifice in pursuit of success.
Jaden Easton, like many entrepreneurs, experienced the double-edged sword of the entrepreneurial spirit. He was creative, a problem solver, and a big thinker, but his drive to figure everything out on his own held him back from reaching his full potential. This struggle was one of the biggest challenges Easton faced in his entrepreneurial journey.
However, Easton believes that living in such a state is a choice. If entrepreneurs find themselves constantly sacrificing freedom for success, it’s often because their company is built on a weak foundation that requires them to work excessively within the business instead of on it.
Through his company Clever Scaling, Easton consults with other entrepreneurs and finds that many do not have a system in place for making data-driven decisions, a playbook for driving outcomes, a clear company vision and values, and more. It was only after Easton realized this and dedicated a quarter of his time to rebuilding the foundation of Clients & Community that he was able to achieve 8-figure success.
“I was a self-starter and often tried to tackle challenges on my own,” Easton says. “This approach resulted in making mistakes and spending an excessive amount of time and energy on issues that could have been resolved quickly.” He was close to burnout, but then he discovered the power of mentorship. Seeking guidance from experienced individuals proved to be the best decision he ever made and allowed him to achieve success more efficiently.
He shifted his approach and began seeking the help of professionals to resolve his issues. By doing so, he was able to gain the equivalent of 5-10 years of experience in a short period of time. Rather than trying to tackle problems on his own, he started seeking out individuals who could assist him. This change in mindset resulted in a significant increase in his monthly revenue, surpassing his expectations.
“I spent the first decade of my career setting myself free financially,” Easton says. “The next decade will be about setting my clients free financially.” Along with his business partners, Easton invests substantial amounts of money each year in improving their product offerings to provide their clients with the best possible experience and help them attain their desired outcomes. In an ever-evolving online marketplace, it’s crucial for them to stay ahead of the innovation curve and continuously improve their offerings.
Clever Scaling offers consulting services to help coaches, consultants, and agency owners install the right technology and processes so they can scale their businesses without sacrificing their time, money and energy. The company helps these businesses to scale leveraging automation, ensuring that they don’t face the same challenges and mistakes that Jaden Easton and his partners faced while scaling Clients & Community.
“Success, to me, means setting yourself free, so that you can cultivate your innate gifts to leave your unique mark on the world,” Easton shares. “If you’re burning yourself out trying to do it all yourself, you aren’t free. My goal is to provide that freedom so you can achieve your goals without losing yourself in the process.”
