Igor Fishelev earned his degree in Physics from Ural State University and continued postgraduate research at the Institute of Metal Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences. His background in science helped him develop a structured and analytical approach that later defined his management style and business vision.

In 1991, as Russia entered a new economic era, he co-founded Link, one of the region’s first joint-stock companies. As Vice President, he managed investments and international operations, gaining hands-on experience in strategic planning and external trade during a time of rapid market transformation.

In 1994, Mr. Fishelev joined Mitsui & Co. Ltd., one of Japan’s leading trading corporations, and a year later was appointed head of its regional office in Yekaterinburg. There, he managed export and import projects across multiple industries, building sustainable partnerships between Russian and global companies.

In 2000, Igor Fishelev founded Unimatic, a company that supplies advanced industrial equipment and provides engineering services for the machine-building sector. Under his leadership, Unimatic grew into a major player in Russia and the CIS, forming alliances with international manufacturers and contributing to the modernization of domestic industry.

Since transferring ownership of Unimatic to his son Oleg in 2018, Igor Fishelev has focused on innovation and technology-driven entrepreneurship, mentoring startups and supporting high-tech business initiatives.
