ICC T20 World Cup 2021 SOPs & Rules That Every Cricketer Must Follow

The Biggest tournament is scheduled to take place in the United Arab Emirates and Oman starting from October 17th, 2021. Originally, hosted by India but shifted to UAE and Oman due to the Covid-19 outbreak, the T20 World Cup Live Streaming begins with the group stages then is followed by Super 12s. T20 World Cup 2021 SOPs and Rules to Follow:

  1. No Media Person Allowed

Media teams or Media persons are not allowed to meet any of the T20 World Cup players for interviews or chit-chat during the tournament. They should talk virtually.

  1. No Spitting on Ball

Spitting the ball is a normal act that every bowler does, but during the T20 Tournament, it is strictly prohibited to spit the ball as by saliva, the virus could be easily transmitted to another player. So, it should be avoided at any cost or the consequences would be harsh.

  1. Quarantine

Before entering the tournament or ground, every player should be quarantined to make sure the player is safe to play.

  1. Safe Passage

For keeping the environment safe, the teams, squad members, and coaching staff will be provided a safe passage to avoid any sort of contact with outside persons.

  1. Change of Jersey

If any spectator or any other official mistakenly touches the jersey of the Playing XI, the player should change his jersey at the spot or it should be sanitized at the moment

  1. Less Crowd 

Due to Covid-19, ICC managed to allow spectators to sit in the ground to Watch T20 World Cup Matches live, but every spectator must be vaccinated and will be sanitized before entering the stadium. Moreover, for the Spectators, it will be prohibited to shake hands or sit too closely.

  1. No Family Member Allowed

To make the Tournament safer and to keep the Players out of the danger, ICC decided not to allow any family member to be with the players. That step is taken to keep both players and families out of the danger.

  1. Sanitize the Ball

Every time, the ball goes out of the park, or into the crowds, it will be sanitized before entering the field.
