How to Quickly Fix Bluestacks Engine Won’t Start Issue

Date:

Bluestacks is an Android emulator for Windows that allows you to run Android apps on your PC. This allows you to use your PC to run your favorite Android apps and games. While this is a very solid platform, there are times when problems arise, which we shall discuss today. We’ll look at the Bluestacks engine won’t start issue in this newest edition of our troubleshooting series.

  • How to Fix a Bluestacks Engine That Won’t Start?

It’s advisable to restart your computer before proceeding with any of the recommended troubleshooting actions listed below. This will clean up your computer’s operating system and delete any corrupt temporary files that may be the source of the problem. Check whether the problem persists after the machine has fully powered up.

  • Turn off your antivirus software

We all know that antivirus software protects your computer from all types of internet dangers, but it may also be extremely rigorous at times, preventing legal apps from functioning. Try temporarily disabling your antivirus application to see whether this is the source of the problem.

  • If you have Windows Security installed
  • Select Start > Settings > Update & Security > Windows Security> Virus & threat protection > Manage settings
  • Turn off Real-time protection.
  • If you use AVG
  • Right-click on the AVG icon in your computer’s system tray to activate it.
  • Temporarily disable AVG protection by clicking Temporarily disable AVG protection.
  • Choose how long you want AVG to be switched off for and whether or not you want AVG’s Firewall to be disabled as well.
  • To turn off the antivirus application, click OK.
  • If you’re a McAfee user
  • Right-click on the McAfee Antivirus icon in your computer’s system tray to open it.
  • Exit should be selected.
  • A dialog window should appear alerting you that McAfee protection will be disabled. To disable the antivirus application, select Yes in this dialog box.

Check to see whether the Bluestacks engine won’t start problem persists.

  • Increase RAM setting by switching to DirectX

When using Bluestacks, you typically have two engine options: OpenGL or DirectX. If you’re using OpenGL, I recommend switching to Direct X and increasing the application’s RAM allotment.

  • BlueStacks should now be open.
  • From the upper right corner, select the settings button. This button will have the appearance of a downward arrow.
  • Choose your options.
  • From the left pane, select Engine.
  • Choose DirectX.
  • Click the Restart Now button.
  • If the problem persists, go through the procedures below.
  • BlueStacks should now be open.
  • From the upper right corner, select the settings button. This button will have the appearance of a downward arrow.
  • Choose your options.
  • From the left pane, select Engine.
  • Choose DirectX.
  • Select a different Core number from the drop-down selection.
  • Increase the amount of RAM in your computer.
  • Now press the Restart button.

Check to see whether the Bluestacks engine won’t start problem persists.

  • Bluestacks should be uninstalled and then reinstalled

If none of the previous methods work, a complete uninstall and reinstall should cure the problem. The goal is to eliminate any potential installation or update issues that are preventing Bluestacks from properly loading. Here’s how you can go about it:

  • Close Bluestacks App and, in the system tray, right-click on the Bluestacks icon and select “Quit.” If it doesn’t work, press Ctrl+Alt+Del, then “Task Manager,” choose “Bluestacks” from the services list, and then “End Task.”
  • Select “Run” from the contextual list that appears when you right-click on the Windows Start menu.
  • In the search area, type “percentage temperature percent” and hit “OK.”
  • Select all of the files in the Windows Explorer box that opens, then right-click and select “Delete.” Because these files are transitory and no longer useful, they can be securely removed.
  • Bluestacks Uninstall may be downloaded from the Bluestacks website. All traces of Bluestacks will be removed by the uninstall software, allowing for a new installation.
  • Double-click the BSTCleaner All.exe program after it has been downloaded.
  • “Do you wish to enable this app to make modifications to your device?” prompts you to choose “Yes.”
  • Bluestacks will be uninstalled using the uninstall wizard. Allow for a few minutes for this to finish. When the message “Process has been completed.” appears on the screen, you’ll know it’s over.
  • Visit the Bluestacks website and click the huge green “Download Bluestacks” button to get the newest version of the program.
  • Double-click the “BlueStacks-Installer_” program when it has been downloaded.
  • Click “Yes” when Windows prompts you, “Do you wish to enable this program to make modifications to your device?”
  • Click “Install Now” in the install wizard.
  • When the installation is complete, click “Complete.”
  • Bluestacks will immediately open and go through the initial boot process, which should just take a few minutes at most.
  • Remember to change the graphics mode to DirectX as described previously.
