Since my latest update, September 20, 2021, WPS Office (formerly known as Kingsoft Office) has provided functionality comparable to Microsoft Office, including WPS Presentation, similar to Microsoft PowerPoint.

Part 1: What is WPS?

WPS Office is an office productivity suite designed by Kingsoft Corporation. It comes with three significant components Word processor for writing PowerPoint for creating slideshows and Spreadsheets to manage and analyze data.

  2. Presenter Creation (WPS presentation): Design visually attractive slide presentations using templates, motion effects, multimedia capabilities, and a presenter mode.
  3. Spreadsheet Management (WPS Spreadsheets): Organize and analyze data using formulas, tables, functions, charts and tools for data analysis.
  4. PDF Editing: WPS PDF allows users to modify PDF documents by making edits to images, text, and other components of the PDF document.

Part 3: How To Make A Timeline In Powerpoint By Wps?

Making a timeline using WPS Presentation is relatively straightforward. Here’s the step-by-step procedure about how to make a timeline in powerpoint:

Step 1: Please choose an appropriate template (Optional): 

WPS powerpoint curved text presentation has various templates built into the program. Some of them contain particular designs for your timeline. If you’d like to utilize a template, head to the “Templates” section and choose one that matches the look of your timeline.

Step 2: Add a SmartArt Image:

A SmartArt graphic is a tool that lets you make different kinds of diagrams, such as timelines.

  • Go to”Insert” in the top menu “Insert” tab on the menu at the top.
  • Select “SmartArt” on the toolbar.
  • Inside the SmartArt dialogue box, click”Process” from the “Process” category from the sidebar to your left.
  • Select a timeline design that is suitable for your needs. The most popular options are “Basic Timeline” or “Vertical Timeline.”

Step 3: Input Timeline Information: 

An updated SmartArt graphic will be displayed on your slideshow. Each of the elements in the timeline will include text placeholders that allow you to enter your information.

  • Click on each of the elements within the timeline.
  • Fill in the required information, including events titles, dates and descriptions. By your SmartArt layout, you choose there may be a variety of fields to choose from.

WPS Presentation allows you to modify the appearance of your timeline to suit your preferences and presentation style.

  • Click on the elements of the SmartArt graphic to highlight them.
  • Use the “Format” option in the top menu to alter your colours, forms or styles for the components.
  • The SmartArt picture on the slide can be resized or relocated.

Step 5: Incorporate images and icons: 

Think considering integrating relevant images, symbols, or even symbols in your timeline to make it more visually appealing.

  • Go to the “Insert” page under the the option to “In tab on the top menu.
  • Choosing “Picture” or “Icons” will allow you to add icons from the WPS collection without first adding any images.
  • The photos can be resized and positioned as needed.
  • Create animator (Optional): You can add effects to enhance the presentation or use the animation tools to develop patterns for the chronological pieces.
  • Choose “File” from the menu.
