How to Install Magisk without TWRP

Android phones are known for the option to upgrade root privilege and customization. All this can be achieved through rooting Android phones. However, to install or root an Android phone, we need to install Magisk. Magisk is the source code of the seamless root. There are few ways to install Magisk, such as using a custom recovery. If you do not want to install TWRP recovery, this guide applies to you. Here, you will learn how to install Magisk without using TWRP or any other custom recovery.

For Android phones most popular custom recovery is TWRP. The Team Win project began many years ago when rooting and other modifications were easy. Since then, TWRP recovery has been greatly improved through a series of new features. But it is usually suitable for users who like to change ROMs or install zip files frequently. Therefore, if you do not intend to install any custom recovery, you still have the opportunity to install Magisk on your Android phone.

In this guide, we will not use any custom recovery, including TWRP and Orangefox. Excluding custom, recovery reduces the number of methods, but we still have an effective way to install Magisk and root Android phones.

Installing Magisk without TWRP

Magisk is a powerful tool/application for Android, which makes rooting possible. Due to the improved security of Android phones, other methods such as one-click root are no longer effective. But thanks to John Wu’s Magisk, it is the only effective rooting tool. If you can successfully unlock the boot loader, it applies to all Android phones.

In this guide, we will use Magisk to patch the file from the firmware. We can install the file through the FastBoot commands or Flash tool, depending on the device you have. We will divide the guide into different parts, which will make the guide simpler. Let’s start with needs.

Prerequisites:

  • Unlock the boot loader of the mobile phone,
  • Make a full backup of the mobile phone,
  • Charge the mobile phone to at least 60%,
  • Download Magisk,
  • Install ADB and FastBoot drivers on the PC,
  • Install Odin flash tool (for Samsung Devices)
  • Download and Install Android mobile phone firmware.

Note: Ensure that the risk of installing Magisk is borne by yourself. It can even brick your device, in which case you can flash the firmware yourself or go to the nearest service center.
