For basic ticket holders, Spirit Airlines cancellation policy stipulates that if you want a full refund, you must cancel within the 24-hour window or at least 60 days before departure. If you cancel outside of specified timeframes, the following will happen:

Depending on when you cancel, you will be charged a cancellation fee.

Your refund will be granted as a Spirit Airlines Reservation Credit for future travel.

The traveler who received the Reservation Credit is the only one who may use it.

Change Fees on Spirit Airlines Tickets (Standard and Award)

The change cost charged by Spirit Airlines for ordinary and reward tickets is determined by when you modify your travel reservation. You must either amend your reservation within the 24-hour period or at least 60 days before travel to avoid paying a change fee. If you make a change outside of these timeframes, you’ll be charged a change fee that ranges from USD 39 to USD 99, depending on that when you make the change (as shown in the table above).

You’ll have to pay the difference in price, taxes, and other fees if your new flight is more expensive.

You’ll get a Reservation Credit for future travel if your new airfare is less expensive. The traveler who receives the Reservation Credit is the only one who may utilize it.

Flight Flexibility with Spirit Airlines

The Flight Flex option on Spirit Airlines allows you to change your itinerary once and for free. This option is available for purchase online, over the phone, or through your travel agent. It will appear on the Extras page if you purchase it online.

You’ll be allowed to change your itinerary up to 24 hours before your flight’s departure if you add Flight Flex to your booking, but only once. If your new fare is more expensive, you must pay the difference, as well as any taxes and optional services you pick.

A ticket cannot be canceled using Flight Flex. This implies that if you cancel your flight after purchasing Flight Flex, you will be charged the usual cancellation cost.

What is Spirit Airlines’ cancellation policy? Is it a 24-hour policy?

Spirit Airlines’ 24 hour refund policy allows travelers to cancel their ticket reservation and receive a refund if they do so within 24 hours of purchase and their trip leaves within 7 days. All fares, without exception, are subject to a 24-hour cancellation policy.
