Hero MotoCorp Launches BS6 Version of New Super Splendor
All the top automobile manufacturers across the globe have been launching BS6 compliant vehicles. Having said this, the two-wheeler manufacturers in India are not far behind in the game. In fact, recently Hero MotoCorp rolled out its BS6 compliant version of the Super Splendor motorcycle.
The bike is available in the market at a starting price of INR 67,300. The all-new Super Splendor BS6 variant is powered by a 125cc engine with a programmed fuel injection that produces a maximum power of 10.73 bhp. This is over 19 per cent more than its previous version.
The BS6 compliant of the Super Splendor motorcycle is available in two variants – self-start engine with a drum brake system and alloy wheels. It is available in the market for INR 67,300. Whereas, the self-start engine with a disc brake system and alloy wheeler is available in the market for INR 70,800.
As a matter of fact, Super Splendor continues to be one of the most demanding motorcycles across the country. The company believes that by adapting this technological trend will only strengthen the trust of the audience in the new Super Splendor BS6.
The company has also revamped the bike’s design by giving it more unique features, further making it more capable than its previous versions. With the launch of this motorcycle, Hero MotoCorp has completely transitioned to the new emission standards.
On the other hand, the company has stopped the production of its BS4 compliant vehicles and are now focusing on producing only BS6 products. Previously, the company launched the BS6 variant of Hero Xtreme 160R, Hero Passion Pro, and Hero Glamour. It even started a BS6 series of bikes that included Hero Splendor iSmart, Hero Splendor, Hero HF Deluxe, Hero Pleasure 110, Hero Destini 125, and Hero Maestro Edge 125.
One of the main reasons why the government decided to switch from BS4 to BS6 engine is due to the degrading air quality across the country. The emission of Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), particular matter, and Non-Methane Hydrocarbons (NMHC) tend to take a toll on the health of the people. Imposing the BS6 emission norm will help reduce the same.
Along with this, to get the traffic-like situation and road mishaps in the country under control, the government has made amendments to the Motor Vehicle Act. The new Motor Vehicle Act of 2019 imposes heftier fines and penalties on those who will be observed violating the traffic safety rules. Not only will this force people to follow the regulations, but also decrease the road fatality rate.
To Conclude
So, whether you are buying a BS4 or BS6 compliant bike in 2020, ensure that you are following the road safety rules when riding. Also, it only makes sense to safeguard your all-new Hero Super Splendor BS6 bike with a comprehensive bike insurance plan. This will help you to stay financially covered in the unlikely event of an accident, natural or man-made disaster.
Many insurers provide hero insurance that covers the new Hero motorcycle range. Know that bike insurance is mandatory by law and if you are caught without an active policy under your name, you will have to face a revised penalty of INR 2000 under the new Motor Vehicle Act, 2019.
