The African American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) TV Honors is an awards event celebrating the outstanding achievement in television. Established in 2003, AAFCA is the premier body of Black film critics in the world, actively reviewing film and television, with a particular emphasis on entertainment highlighting the Black experience in the U.S. and throughout the rest of the African Diaspora.
Although the AAFCA TV Honors had to pivot to a virtual ceremony in abundance of caution during the recent Covid upswing in Los Angeles, the stars showed up to the celebration and it did not stop the celebrity gifting from taking place. The show was hosted by Emmy nominated actress Yvette Nicole Brown, and award recipients included Wanda Sykes, Norman Lear, Michaela Coel, Jurnee Smollett, Jonathan Majors, Barry Jenkins, Naomi Ackie, Steve McQueen, and many more.
Celebrities are often spoiled with amazing gifts donated by brands who gift luxury products such as champagne, jewelry, handbags, beauty products, scented candles, and so much more. Here is a breakdown of what the celebrity guests received. All of the luxury products by these amazing brands were vetted by the AAFCA brand partnership/sponsorship team for high-quality, product performance, sustainability, packaging, marketing, and long-term potential. We hope these brands continue to grow and thrive.
