We sat down with Victoria Kennedy, CEO of Victorious PR, to hear her speak on ethics, why her values matter so much to her, and what becoming a Forbes Agency Council member so soon after joining the Rolling Stone Culture Council means to her.
Kennedy’s dedication to ‘excellence,’ which is Victorious PR’s overarching company mission, includes pillars of integrity, precision, personal responsibility, and good-heartedness.
The public relations industry is full of multi-talented individuals, and many of them work on Kennedy’s illustrious team. They are a well-oiled machine full of high-energy creatives with skills Kennedy hones by working closely with each team member. She nurtures each individual’s talent to equip them with the empowerment needed to provide their clients with the best results.
Rolling Stone Culture Council and Forbes Agency Council
The Rolling Stone Culture Council is an elite group of modern, forward-thinking leaders in the societal-cultural space.
“Rolling Stone Culture Council is a private, vetted community for influencers, tastemakers, and innovators in the worlds of music, entertainment, media, food & beverage, fashion, sports, gaming and cannabis.”
Experts in this crème de la crème group from various backgrounds contribute pieces to Rolling Stone’s online publication and impart their executive expertise to monthly questions geared towards answering budding professionals in their industry.
On the other — equal — hand, Forbes has multiple councils, including Nonprofit, Human Resources, and Agency Councils. The latter “is an invitation-only community for senior-level agency executives. Members are respected leaders and executives of PR, media, creative, and ad agencies who are selected for the council based on the depth and diversity of experience in their industry.”
Kennedy joined the Rolling Stone Culture Council in 2021 and Forbes Agency Council in 2022.
What Being a Victorious Part of Both Councils Means to Her
“It is exhilarating to be part of such prestigious groups of thought leaders,” said Kennedy. “I feel that being accepted as a member of the Rolling Stone and Forbes Councils truly solidifies the hard work I’ve done to get where I am today. I want to be a wealth of information to those who are just starting their entrepreneurial journeys, and I love being able to connect with like-minded individuals in my, and various other, industries. There is undoubtedly strength in numbers when it comes to intelligent minds, and I love that!”
Victorious PR works with its clients to develop, sharpen, and communicate their brand narrative to high-domain and Google ranked publications. They use a proven framework that boosts each client’s visibility, credibility, and authority — in that order. But technicalities aside, the main piece that skyrockets Victorious PR and its clients to success is its strong sense of internal core ethics and values.
“I built this company with one goal in mind: to lead with integrity and help impactful leaders and businesses be seen and heard to have a greater influence on the world,” said Kennedy.
Kennedy’s Blended History
Did you know that Kennedy used to be an opera singer overseas? Adored by fans, her career took a wrong turn at the intersection of ‘European Work Visa’ and ‘COVID-19 Street.’ In other words, she couldn’t get back into Europe when the pandemic hit and thus had to create a new name for herself.
The fact that she went from penniless opera singer to PR powerhouse in just two short years is a testament to her outstanding excellence. She knew how important it was to create a name for herself as a singer — a feat she completed all on her own with a cherry-on-top chart-topping single on iTunes.
“Music artists need to promote their work to wide audiences to be successful, and this is achieved best through publicity and public relations campaigns,” Kennedy explained. “I think my two career paths, while wildly different, greatly influenced each other and helped me grow in both areas.”
Kennedy’s knowledge from both adventures, past and present, certainly gives her that extra spice and edge that Rolling Stone and Forbes were looking for.
She strives always to do the right thing and take care of others, including her clients, teammates, friends, and family — no matter what curveballs get thrown at her.
Ethics and Excellence
“I know that I am responsible for my actions under any circumstances. Positive results will accelerate the company’s growth; we can use negative results as lessons for the future,” Kennedy said. “I take credit for my success while holding myself accountable for my mistakes, and that has paid dividends when it comes to growing my business.”
Kennedy has genuinely built a mini-empire for herself, and as it continues to grow in 2022, she strives to bring her clients with her, pushing them into the greatness that her team will cultivate for them, just like she did for herself.
“Your customers need to know the face behind the brand and what you stand for,” Kennedy said. “That is why I am so lucky and proud to be part of the Forbes Agency Council and Rolling Stone Culture Council. I want people to be able to put a face to the name, learn who I am and what I have to say so that they can learn what I have already had to learn for myself.”
