For production power, Vividads.com.au invests in the HP dye-sub.

Date:

Vivid has invested $1 million in the most recent HP dye-sublimation printing and finishing technology, allowing them to produce 100,000 square meters each month with a next-day turnaround.

Wide-format printing and signage The HP Stitch S1000 is a super-wide dye-sublimation production printer that, according to the company, is intended to simplify operation, enable high volumes during peak times, and deliver high quality at quick speeds, even when left unattended. Vivid Ads, not to be confused with Ewan Donaldson’s Vivid, is the first Australian print commerce company to acquire one.

Since being installed, the HP Stitch has raised the Vivid manufacturing capacity by 400%, making it possible for fabric-printed products to be produced in 24 hours. Vivid recently invested in the Monti Antonio heat press and the Zund G3 Cutter, further establishing its expertise in dye-sublimation printing.

According to Faris Memon, sales director at Vivid, “Dye-sublimation is a complicated process and over the recent years we’ve had a huge demand from our clients – across sectors including retail, events, and exhibitions – who are looking for more dependable, and better quality direct-to-fabric printed products.”

“Printing has always been our bottleneck. We had to turn off bigger tasks because we couldn’t complete them by the deadlines, but now that we can handle high-volume jobs, it will significantly affect our bottom line.

The Stitch S1000, in the opinion of Jeremy Brew, HP’s global PrintOS and LF solutions expert, was the obvious choice to assist Vivid in boosting productivity and satisfying client demands. Vivid’s production staff can now print up to 220 square meters per hour, even when left unattended, with a maximum monthly capacity of 100,000 square meters, he claimed.

Our thermal printhead technology, a first in dye-sub printing, is included in the HP Stitch and helps to deliver quality while maximizing uptime. Since this printer is largely automated, Vivid can devote more time to assisting clients in realizing their display visions and less time to printing.

Vivid serves hundreds of businesses in Australia, including other printers, advertising firms, and design studios. “With the HPS1000, we were able to finish the job overnight, exceeding our customer’s expectations, on a recent project for a trade partner when a customer needed 3000 sq m of backlit graphics generated in a matter of days,” adds Memon.

“At Vivid, we are committed to offering our customers a one-stop-shop for all big format display needs, and this most recent investment helps us to achieve just that,” the company stated. In the current Covid-19 environment, the fact that everything we do at Vivid is finished in-house gives our customers and us more peace of mind.

The first commercial print in Victoria is installed by Melbourne’s VIVID dye-sub HP Stitch S1000.

The leading Australian online signage manufacturer VIVID, based in Melbourne, has invested a total of $1,000,000 in the most cutting-edge dye-sublimation printing and finishing technology, making it easier than ever for customers to create high-quality textile displays with significant impact and quadrupling production capacity.

The HP Stitch S1000, a super wide dye-sublimation production printer designed to ease operation, permit large quantities during peak times, and produce good quality at quick speeds even when unattended, has been acquired by VIVID as the first commercial print company in Victoria.

Family-run and wholly Australian-owned and controlled, VIVID is a business. For more than 14 years, thousands of companies, from well-known huge corporations to fledgling startups, have relied on VIVID to provide quick and dependable delivery of products, including flags, stretch fabric displays, light boxes, and numerous other signage items.

Since being installed, the HP Stitch has enhanced VIVID’s production capacity by 400%, making it possible for fabric-printed products to be delivered in 24 hours.

According to Faris Memon, Sales Director at VIVID, “Dye-sublimation is a difficult process and in recent years we’ve had a huge demand from our clients across sectors including retail, events, and exhibitions – who are looking for more dependable, and better quality direct to fabric printed products.”

“Printing has always been our bottleneck. We had to turn off bigger tasks because we couldn’t complete them by the dates, but now that we can handle them, our bottom line will be significantly impacted.

The HP Stitch S1000, according to Jeremy Brew, Worldwide PrintOS and LF Solutions Expert at HP, was the obvious choice for helping VIVID boost productivity and satisfy client demands. With a maximum capacity of 100,000 square meters per month, Brew claims that VIVID’s production crew can print at rates of up to 220 m2/hour, even when left unattended.

Our heated printhead technology, a first in dye-sub printing, is included in the HP Stitch and helps to produce exceptional quality with maximum uptime. Since this printer is largely automated, VIVID can devote more time to assisting clients in realizing their display visions and less time to the printing process.

Throughout Australia, VIVID serves hundreds of business partners, such as other printers, advertising firms, and design studios. The HPS1000 allowed us to finish the project overnight, exceeding our customer’s expectations. “We recently had a project for a trade partner where a customer needed 3,000+ SQM of backlit graphics generated in a matter of days,” explains Memon.

VIVID continues to invest in cutting-edge technology and innovation to boost productivity and guarantee best-in-class Trade Show Displays. With recent Zund G3 Cutter and Monti Antonio heat press purchases, VIVID has further solidified its focus on dye-sublimation printing.

Our goal at VIVID is to be our customers’ go-to source for all big format display needs, and our most recent investment enables us to do that. The fact that everything we produce at VIVID is finished in-house gives our customers and us more peace of mind in the COVID-19 environment, says Memon.
