The dreaded skin condition should not be the end of the road, says Destine.
Ferrat Destine is someone who has spoken openly about the condition he has suffered from – Vitiligo, and has accepted the flaws to move with life on a positive note. He wants many who are affected by this skin condition to be happy and not let this condition dissuade them from achieving the best in life. “Your skin doesn’t define your courage and strength nor is it an inadequacy,” says Destine in a matter-of-factly way, which stands true in every sense. He wants people to stay positive, like he himself did when he was diagnosed with this condition.
It was in 2018, when he noticed signs of this condition when a small oval patch appeared on his lips. Assuming it to be just a blemish, he ignored it, only to see it grow and spread until it has turned into a large irregular patch, which confirmed his worst nightmare that he was suffering from Vitiligo, an irreversible skin disease that affects the pigment in hair, skin, and eyes. Knowing that it had no cure as its cause is still not clearly established, but proper treatment can prevent if from spreading further, he took the skin disorder in his stride and went ahead with his life to accomplish loads of success.
Destine says that those affected by Vitiligo experience social anxiety and depression, as they get self-conscious and might isolate themselves from social interactions which prevents them from achieving the best in their lives, but he wants to tell the world about himself, as how despite the disorder he accepted his condition and learnt to accept the flaws and went ahead to fight the social stigma that was associated with Vitiligo. His focus on his goals helped him emerge as the most successful entrepreneur, mentor, coach, podcaster, author, activist, and motivational speaker who has been a part of many renowned platforms across the world.
He is of the strong belief that people get disturbed by their condition, the more they think about it. If they decide to shine bright from within, nothing in this world can stop them from achieving the best in life. He is forever grateful to his family, friends and audiences who have supported him in every possible way which has helped him gain success and reach a commendable position today. “I want to bring my experience in front of the world and inspire those suffering from this condition to go ahead and achieve the best in life,” says Destine.
His podcast INSPIRE, creates awareness on Vitiligo and inspires people to become unique and give their best. “Colors tell stories too, and each a unique one,” ends Destine on a positive note.
