The best content consumption devices at all budgets!
The best thing about monsoons is the opportunity it presents to curl up in a warm blanket in some cozy nook. Accompanied by piping hot tea and a book or tablet so you can catch up on your reading and missed shows, it’s the perfect escape.
While tea is easy enough to acquire, you are going to require a good e-reader, iPad or Android tablet to catch up on said books and shows. And we’re here to help you acquire just that!
Amazon Kindle Paperwhite Wi-Fi
There’s no question about it, the Amazon Kindle is the de-facto e-reader out there, and for a very simple reason: the largest e-book store is on Amazon. Of the many Kindles available, however, we’d recommend you spend Rs 13,999 and pick up the Kindle Paperwhite. Yes, you can pick up the regular Kindle for just Rs 7,999, but the Paperwhite is our pick because it offers a much higher resolution screen and a faster display, both of which will impact the quality of your reading experience. The regular Kindle is fine if you’re on a budget, but if you’re a voracious reader, the Paperwhite’s higher-resolution display will serve you better.
If you want something even more premium, you could opt for the Kindle Paperwhite Signature Edition for Rs 17,999, or splurge Rs 24,999 on the Kindle Oasis. The Signature Edition offers wireless charging, auto-brightness and more storage and those features might be worth an additional Rs 4,000 to some. The Kindle Oasis ups the ante with a premium build, more comfortable design, and a better display.
Xiaomi Pad 6
For consuming content, we’d go with the Xiaomi Pad 6. It’s a great buy at Rs 26,999, offering a high resolution (1800×2800) IPS display with a 144Hz refresh and Dolby Vision support, not to mention the powerful Snapdragon 870 SoC, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB storage. There’s also the fact that you’re getting 33W fast-charging, PD3 and QC4 support, a massive 8,840mAh battery, and four speakers.
The Xiaomi Pad 6 is a fast and powerful tablet with a great display that’s perfect for everything from content consumption to gaming, and it’s available at a very reasonable price.
OnePlus Pad Go
If you’re looking for something more reasonably priced, might we suggest the OnePlus Pad Go for Rs 21,999? This one also offers an IPS display (at a reasonably fast 90Hz), and it’s powered by a reasonably fast MediatTek Helio G99. Storage and RAM is also very reasonable at 128GB and 8GB respectively, which is why we think the OnePlus Pad Go is the perfect sweet spot for a content consumption and gaming tablet. In fact, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a better deal at this price.
Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE+
Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S9 FE for Rs 51,999 is what we’d recommend if you want a premium tablet experience on a large display. It features. Large, 12.4-inch display in a 16:10 aspect ratio and is powered by a Samsung Exynos 1380. This gives the tablet a good mix of performance and efficiency. It’s a bit on the expensive side for what’s on offer, but bear in mind that you’re getting Samsung’s signature design and a great display. This is a great device for both creativity and content consumption.
Apple iPad Pro (5th generation)
By far the best tablet you can buy right now, the 5th generation Apple iPad Pro from Apple is unmatched on virtually all fronts. Yes, the price is an eye-watering Rs 99,900 for 256GB of storage, but you’re getting the best display ever put in a consumer tablet (120Hz, 1,600nits), more power than what you’ll get from most laptops, one of the best speaker systems in this category, and of course a tie-in with Apple’s incredible ecosystem.
If you can stomach the price, and that of its accompanying
Chandigarh to Manali cab accessories, you will not find a better tablet experience anywhere.
Make sure to pick up any of the above devices and have them delivered to your doorstep for respite from the monsoon downpour.
