Day 1: Arrival in Mombasa
- Arrival: Fly into Moi International Airport, Mombasa, and check into your chosen accommodation, whether it’s a beachfront resort, boutique hotel, or guesthouse.
- Diani Beach: If you arrive early, you can take a day trip to Diani Beach, known for its pristine white sands and water activities. It’s about a 1.5-hour drive from Mombasa.
Day 2: Explore the Old Town
- Old Town: Begin your exploration of Mombasa’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander through narrow winding streets filled with Swahili architecture, vibrant markets, and local shops. Visit historic sites like Fort Jesus and the Old Town Hall.
- Lunch: Enjoy traditional Swahili cuisine at a local restaurant. Try dishes like biryani, samosas, and seafood.
- Haller Park: In the afternoon, visit Haller Park, a nature reserve with a variety of wildlife, including giraffes, hippos, and reptiles. You can also take a stroll through the botanical gardens.
