Ear jewelry is used to decorate the ear area with an unusual style. There are five different types of ear hanger jewelry that are popular today, including L-hooks, flat hook, gothic hoop, ballerina hook and spiral hook. These items are made from small pieces of metal or wood that can be decorated or designed with jewels, beads and other adornments.
The popularity of ear hanger jewelry has seen a recent upswing with the emergence of new materials and an evolving aesthetic. This type of earring can be worn in several ways, giving it versatility for both formal and casual events.
Ear Hanger Jewelry is an enormous brass hook that comes down at least to mid-ear with a small round ball on the end. It can be worn in so many ways, this is one of my favorite styles of earrings to wear. I have two piercings in each ear, and most of the time I’ll pull off 2 or 3 outfits before deciding what earrings are appropriate for that outfit.
The first way I wear my hanger earrings is to pull down the hook on one side of my face, which leaves a dangly ball at the end. I’ve found this style works best with very simple outfits that don’t require too much flair.
The second way I wear my hanger earrings is to pull the hook all the way down to where it meets both of my ears, which leaves one strand of ball on each side of my face. This style looks really cute with a headband or hair net . It can be paired with a very casual outfit, such as a layered tank top and skirt with ankle boots. They’re very easy to rotate between work and play outfits.
Hanger earrings can also be worn with different materials such as crystals or other beads on the end of the hook instead of a ball for more variety. And they can even be used with non-earring materials, such as pendants or chains to be worn around the neck. Now that is one statement necklace!
The downside of this style of earring is that they are very heavy in comparison to other types of earrings. I have yet to find a way to prevent my ears from being sore after wearing them for longer than a couple of hours.
Popular types of ear hanger jewelry styles.
1) L-Hook: It is shaped like an upside down hook with a tiny ball on the very bottom of the curved area. This type of ear hanger jewelry can be placed into the ear piercing at any angle and worn in the front, back or side. The ball on the end of the ear hanger jewelry holds it into place so that it will not slip out easily.
2) Flat Hook: It is very similar to a fish hook shape. This type of ear hanger jewelry is a bit more dainty than the L-hook style. These ear hanger jewelry pieces are also worn in multiple areas, including front, back or side piercings.
3) Gothic Hoop: It is very similar to a loop style which is created by making a second loop into the first one. This type of ear hanger jewelry is very popular among those who like to wear hoop style earrings. The gothic hoop type of ear hanger jewelry can be made from wood, metal or leather and sometimes includes beads and other embellishments.
