Security apps have become essential programs for the system. If you surf the web on your device then using a security app becomes essential. Your device can get malware and various other threats from the web. Security app protects the system and network from unwanted threats. The premium antivirus provides lots of advanced features for device security. But the user has to renew the app when it expires. To prevent license expiry, many security apps offer auto-renewal. Whenever the app is about to expire, it renews automatically and you will get the bill. The auto-renewal won’t stop until the user cancels it manually.
Cancel your auto-renewal from the application
On your app, check for its subscription page. The user will get all the subscription-related details on the subscription tab.
- Open security app’s dashboard
- Click on the My Info
- Tap on the Subscription page
- Check for the active plan
- Select Cancel button
The user may get redirected to its website. On the subscription window, select the plan and choose the Cancel button. You will get a “Confirm Cancel” wizard. Click on Yes and auto-renewal will be canceled. Again, open the app’s subscription page. Check for the expiry date of your antivirus program. You can access the paid features of your app till the given date. Once the plan expires, the antivirus won’t get renewed automatically.
Cancel Avast renewal using the online account
The user can check or make changes to the subscription using the online account. Open the Avast website on your system.
- Click on My Info
- On the login page, provide login information
- Click on My Account
- Open the subscription page
- Select the antivirus plan
- Choose Cancel button
- On confirm page, tap the Yes button
The user will get the remaining day’s details on the screen. Run the program until the expiry. After cancel Avast renewal, the plan won’t renew automatically.
Cancel the auto-renewed plan and get the refund
If you didn’t cancel the auto-renewal feature and it got renewed; check for the refund feature. Most of the security programs have a refund feature of the yearly plan. But the refund feature is only available for a few days. If there are only a few days since auto-renewal then you can ask for a refund.
- Open the antivirus website
- Click on the login button and provide details
- Go to your profile page
- Choose Subscription and check the plan
- Tap on the Cancel option
- The user will get a refund wizard
- Select Refund and wait
The user will get refund information and the plan will expire. Now you can’t use any paid tool of the antivirus.
Cancel the security program on Android device
Many of the security apps offer premium plans for phone devices. These plans offer advanced tools along with malware scanners such as phone tracking, blocking spam calls, firewalls, VPN, etc. The user can install or purchase the subscription from Play Store. If the antivirus on the phone is on auto-renewal then cancel it. To make changes, use the Play Store of your device.
- Open Play Store on the system
- Tap on your Profile
- Choose Payments and Subscriptions
- Select the Subscription option from the screen
- The user will get all subscribed plans
- Choose the antivirus
- The user will see a cancel button
- Choose Cancel and select Yes on Confirm tab
Open the app on the phone and go to the subscription. Check the days and use the app until the provided date without auto-renewal concerns.
Canceling subscription on iOS
Many antivirus apps are available for iOS. You can use these apps for malware protection, device tracking, VPN, etc. If you have a security program but in auto-renewal then cancel it. After canceling it, the user can access the tools reliably.
- Click on the App Store
- Tap on Profile and check the Apple ID
- Go to Subscription
- Hit on the required app (security app)
- Click on the Cancel button
- Choose Yes on Confirm
You can run the app on your iOS until the given date on the subscription tab. After the expiry of the antivirus, you can uninstall the plan.
Renew the subscription manually
When the auto-renewal is disabled, your security app won’t renew automatically. But whenever you need the program again, renew it manually. You don’t require a new account. Go to its subscription tab and check for the plan. Click on the renew button next to Expired. Avast renewal plans will appear. Choose an appropriate plan and make payment. Now the user can use the tools on his device easily.
