Methods to check ICAI CA Final Result 2021

ICAI gives the facilities to check the CA Final Result via three methods:

• Online (on the ICAI websites)
• Through SMS
• Registered Email ID

CA Final Exams: Passing Marks and Exemption

As per ICAI guidelines, the passing criteria is that you need to get at least 40% marks in each paper, and your aggregate should be 50%.  

Single Group-50% aggregate needed.

Both Groups- 50% aggregate needed (group-wise marks are not considered.)

If you fail to get the minimum marks in any one or more papers in CA Final, but you have scored more than 60% marks in one or paper, you will be eligible to get an exemption. When your exemption is approved, ICAI mentions F-Ex on your mark sheet with ‘#’ written against the exempted papers.

ICAI gives exemption only for the three upcoming attempts. If you change from the old course to the new course, your CA Final exemption will be canceled.

CA Final Statement of Marks

The results released online are provisional mark sheets only. The statement of marks given by ICAI is the main mark sheet. Within 4-5 weeks after the result declaration, ICAI sends it via post. If you don’t get your mark sheet within this time, you should send an email to ICAI to confirm your mark sheet’s status. The email id where you should send your concern about the mark sheet is dms_examhelpline@icai.in.

CA Final Rank Certificate

The AIR 50 CA Final students who are on the merit list receive a rank certificate from ICAI. Only the students who have cleared their exams in the first attempt can be in AIR 50. If you are one of the rank holders, wait a few weeks, and ICAI will send your certificate to your registered address.

Verification/Inspection of CA Final Answer Copies

Students who doubt that there could be an error in marks allocation in any of their papers and their marks can increase should apply for verification or inspection of their answer copies. If you apply for verification, ICAI will check your answer copy to see if any answers have remained unevaluated or any mistake is there in totaling/carrying forward the marks to the front page. If you apply for inspection, then ICAI will do the verification and send your answer copy to you to see where you have lost your marks.

You should remember that ICAI does not approve of revaluation, so don’t expect your answers will be re-evaluated. You will have one month to think and apply for the verification/inspection through the ICAI website. If you decide to fill the application, follow this process:

1. Login to your dashboard on the ICAI website.  
2. You will see a verification/inspection of answer copies link. There will be an ‘Apply’ button which you have to click. 
3. Now select the subjects in which you think your marks are less but can be increased through verification. 
4. Upload a handwritten application’s scanned copy. Make sure you write all the required details and sign it.
5. Save the application and check the details. Now move to the payment step. You can deposit the fee through any of the available online modes.
6. You will see a successful transaction notification on your screen. Take a screenshot of it or get a print out for future reference.
