Society says think twice before you choose your profession, but I say do what your heart tells you- follow your passion
Munish Maya, a young entrepreneur, social media phenomenon and India’s 1st Global Brand Ambassador has always followed what his heart has told him and not what society demanded.
With his wisdom-filled content ranging from entrepreneurial business inspiration to mindfulness and mindset mastery expertise, is the voice of millennials and Gen Z audience. From leaving his 9 to 5 corporate career to becoming a million dollar global phenomenon, he surely has come a long way.
Belonging to a very typical Punjabi family, Munish Maya’s family has very opposite expectations from him than what he is today. They wanted their child to become an engineer like all the other parents. So after completing his B.tech in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Thapar University, he worked as software engineer in one of the Top Fortune 500 companies.
In an exclusive interview, Mr Maya says, “ I had a successful corporate career as a software engineer but I felt emptiness and mundane in my life and then I realized what’s the point of being a success in the world and a failure at being yourself? So I decided to escape the 9 to 5 job schedule and follow my passion. In times like those, Everything was so dicey, and my entire career was at stake but the only thing kept me going was strong self-belief and will to succeed.
So I set about to discover how truly successful people think, behave and live. During my entrepreneurial endeavors, I experimented, built and scaled multiple startups and have learned and evolved in this whole process. I have been fortunate to work with people from various walks of life during that phase and have worked, mentored and collaborated with some of the top Fortune 500 brands, entrepreneurs and visionaries. I have enjoyed my journey as an Influencer and been humbled to be nominated as India’s most Iconic Influential Entrepreneur. The ideas I learnt transformed me and inspired me to share the lessons with the people to live successful lives.”
After working for 10 years in this, Munish Maya says, “From that moment to now, I never looked back and today I feel blessed and honored to work with more than 500+ International & National brands worldwide from Tomford, Salvatore Ferragamo, Montblanc to Indian startups/e commerce like Myntra, Flipkart, Paytm, etc to tech brands like Xiaomi, One plus, etc.”
Munish Maya also assured that it’s not true that only a 9 to 5 job can fulfill your dreams (in monetary terms), but you can also earn digitally if you want and decide to earn. He is a huge live example of successful self-made entrepreneur.
Munish Maya in an interview told that he feels blessed to have almost 1 Million followers and fans and he is grateful to have them. This shows how Mr. Munish celebrates and appreciates small wins of life, which is truly the great part of a healthy and successful life.
