Bobsolar, the green energy branch of Hong Kong company Bob Eco, is active across continental Europe and is racing to launch operations in other areas.

Date:

Bob Eco is a social enterprise that manufactures products to improve the environment, including electric vehicles, charging systems, solar panels and home batteries. The electric vehicle branch is very active across the African continent, having received the support of various governments.

According to Bob Eco’s internal research, the demand for solar energy exceeds the demand in European countries by more than 40%. With its electric vehicle business, Bob Eco will begin rolling out the Bobsolar brand across the continent. Uganda is one of the first countries where the company will launch operations in the third quarter of 2023.

Bob Eco’s CEO, Bob Ultee, said, “Almost the entire rural population in countries like Uganda fully rely on solar energy; our charging systems for the electric vehicles fully rely on energy from the grid”. With the electric vehicle operations, Bob Eco allows riders to swap their batteries at so-called ‘charging cabinets freely’. Ultee indicated that “to make sure that we can continue our growth to the outskirts of the cities and the countryside, we need to start building on getting energy locally; what better way to do that is to use our solar branch to do just that.”

To succeed in the East African market, Bob Eko believes that the electricity market’s functioning of the electricity market will need to be more resilient to local market shocks and provide a stable generation of electricity, thereby enabling solar power to operate in the market. It explains that you need to start applying. This move will accelerate the adoption of green energy in the region and eventually replace fossil fuels in Uganda’s electricity market!

Many experts in the field see the move as ambitious, as there are many obstacles to doing business on the African continent. Bob Eco claims to have built strong relations with governments to help facilitate building the networks and to start operating safely.

Bob Eco will start its solar operations in the region in the third quarter of this year.
