The Vizio M55Q7H1 is the ideal TV for gamers. It is a great value for money and offers an outstanding overall experience. It also comes with advanced gaming features like variable refresh rate (VRR) and an Auto Low Latency Mod (ALLM). Vizio’s SmartCast interface can be slow and buggy, but it’s one of the few smart platforms that’s ad-free. We tried the 65-inch model and found it to be a bit slow, we’re expecting the 55 inch to perform similar to the 65 inch model.

While it’s limited to 60Hz, it should be fine for console gamers and casual PC gamers. It is extremely responsive with very little blurring when watching video or other content that is fast-moving and has very little input lag. It is therefore responsive to gaming. If you like to play in darkness the device has a great contrast ratio, which delivers rich blacks that are deep and inky. It does not have lots of brightness, which means it can be difficult to discern in dim places.

It doesn’t come with HDMI 2.1 ports. They only have the bandwidth of HDMI 2.0. It’s also not the best option for HDR gaming because its HDR brightness in Game Mode is sub-par, which means that highlights don’t seem to pop as they should. Also, although it features local dimming that is full-array but its performance isn’t great which is actually reducing the contrast ratio of the TV. It’s an affordable option for gaming and is a great option.

The Most Affordable TV for $500 with Wide Viewing Angles: 55UP7000PUA

If you’re in a large seating configuration, then the best TV for less than $500 is the LG 55UP7000PUA. It’s a basic entry-level model that comes with an IPS-like panel that has broad viewing angles, meaning that the picture will be pretty accurate regardless of where you’re viewing it from. Remember that we tested the 65-inch model but we’re expecting our findings to be valid for the 55-inch model too.

It doesn’t have any trouble scaling lower resolution content. This is fantastic for watching cable TV, and you can keep it on your favourite news channel all day without having to worry about the possibility of burning-in permanent. It’s perfect for use indoors, thanks to its decent high-end brightness and excellent reflection management. But, it should not be used in rooms with a lot of light sources.
