Becoming a professional footballer: four steps to make your dream come true
If you are reading this article it is probably because you too, as a child or a teenager, have dreamed of becoming a professional footballer . Obviously what I will try to do here is not convince you that with the right mindset and the correct approach anyone can make this dream come true. The talent is and remains important, but as such it needs to be properly developed through precise work aimed at a clear goal. As for the proper equipement check out chrome football helmet decals
As already mentioned in the title, it is a job that, for simplification, I divided into 4 steps that I wanted to define “4 steps” precisely to give the idea that they are the ones that separate you from becoming a professional footballer.
1. The first step is to have a clear and well defined goal to be achieved.
It may seem strange to you but very few have clear ideas on this point. Many say “I continue to train to the maximum then let’s see what happens” or “I would like to get as high as possible”. These are just some simple examples of unclear ideas about the goal to be achieved and consequently the certainty of an announced failure .
You will surely have heard the interview of a champion who, after having achieved an important feat, often declares “it is the dream I had since I was a child”. If you happen to read the bio of some soccer academy vancouver in general you will find similar statements. Having a clear goal means having a specific goal to reach. This goal must be defined and specific, not generic. Saying “get as high as possible” or “become a professional footballer” is too general and unspecific So let’s take the first step, answer this simple question: what is the goal you want to achieve by playing soccer? If the first thing that comes to mind is a generic response worry , go from there and starts to ask you questions that help you specify. You will see that with a little application and a little time you will find the answer you were looking for.
2. Once the first is done, let’s move on to the second step which consists of knowing exactly what it takes to achieve your goal as a footballer.
.
Here we are probably entering a technical – tactical and physical – athletic field that competes with other professionals. I just want to give you a hint: let’s start with your skills . Do you know exactly what they are? I would say it is better to do a refresher.
Take a pen and paper and start making a list of the qualities, characteristics and all those resources in your possession, these are precisely these that will allow you to achieve the goal you have set for yourself. Everything you have achieved so far you have achieved thanks to your qualities and how you have been able to put them into play. It may be that along the way something has jammed and you have been forced to interrupt your professional growth. Regardless of this, if you are reading this article it means that you have already decided to start again and I would say that we are starting from here!
3. The third step is the decisive one and consists in having a strategy , an action plan.
It means knowing how to use your resources to achieve the goal that will decisively change your professional life. To do this, I recommend that you take inspiration from a player who has similar characteristics to yours who has already achieved the goal you have set for yourself, that is, you take as a reference model a player you admire, esteem and would like to emulate.
When you have identified it, begin to observe it with greater attention, study it and imitate it . He is simply a demonstration of how it is possible to achieve the same goal as you using characteristics similar to yours. And how do you think it was possible? How did he train every day to get what he achieved? How did you cope with your professional life? And how did you know how to combine it with the private one? He is probably ahead of you but this depends on the fact that he has trained and amplified his qualities with daily work.
How many footballers are there who are talented and believe that talent alone is enough to achieve results? If you are among them I must tell you that your thinking is deeply wrong . Talent is like a rose, if you don’t water it every day it will be destined to wither. How many talents blossomed like beautiful roses and then withered in no time? Soccer is full of these stories and I am convinced that you know a lot of them too. If you want to avoid being next on the list, face life as a true professional and always train beyond the maximum of your possibilities with the constant desire to improve yourself day after day.
4. Once this is done, we come to the fourth step.
For all the work done so far to make sense we must have the constancy to measure the progress achieved and, of course, also the objectivity to tell us the things that are not going as we would have liked. We must train ourselves to self-analyze the work and to find the right corrections , with serenity and awareness of our means. The professionals at the supra academy, a soccer academy vancouver, will teach and train you in the right way.
