Bauza Cigars: Luxury Redefined

Bauza was first an exclusively Cuba-only brand and was first rolled in the year 1868. Some may say that pre-revolution Havana’s echoes can still be found on the boxes of Bauza today as well. But the smokes are hand-rolled in the Dominican Republic by the Arturo Fuente Factory. They came to the market in 1980, and these cigars became rather highly rated from the beginning of the 80s till when the 90s began to end in Cigar Aficionado. In the December 1998 issue on the Smoke Magazine, the Bauza cigars got an ‘Excellent’ rating of 4.2 and in ‘92 received the highest rating by CA.

2. Flavor Profile: There is a profile of toasted nuts, cereal, cedar, and leather that gives, around the edges, a touch of sweetness. There is a complex flavor profile that has distinct spicy and woody tones along with a definite lingering sweetness. The aftertaste hints at coco beans and spice again.

3. Variety: The rich character of the cigar offers a pleasant smoking experience that is mild to medium-bodied. The cigars are put together by hand carefully, and the President cigar is made with short filler tobacco, meaning that it cannot be compared to the rest. This line of cigars is available in nine different sizes, and eight of these can be found packed in lovely wooden cedar boxes. It tastes best when paired with a roasted Irish Stout like Guinness or Murphys, according to many cigar connoisseurs.
