As May recognizes Mental Health Awareness Month, one author is using her voice to speak out on a topic universally relatable: life and love after loss.
Eileen Robertson Hamra is touring the United States as she spreads a message of healing and perseverance through her “Time to Fly” national book tour.
Hamra will be stopping in Los Angeles on May 7th at The Dream Factory LA Studio from 12pm to 3pm, discussing her book with host and speaker, Princess Sarah Culberson of Sierra Leone.
Hamra wrote her memoir after she lost her husband to a plane crash at the age of 41. A grieving single mother of three, she never would have imagined that the pain she has had to endure from such an unexpected tragedy, would eventually bloom into a purpose driven passion to help others uncover their own inner strength.
“We don’t always have control over what happens to us, but I believe we do get to write the story we tell about it,” Hamra said.
In a month dedicated to helping destigmatize dialogue around mental health, Hamra hopes to help others reimagine adversity as an opportunity for growth.
She is a holistic nutritionist with an MBA, dedicating her life’s work to helping others transform into their best selves, while still prioritizing the power of family, friends, and community.
