Rotarian Atikur Rahman, a prominent social leader and Adviser to the mental health initiative Talk Hope, has been awarded the Icons of Change International Award 2025 in recognition of his outstanding contributions to mental health advocacy, youth empowerment, and community development.
The award, presented by the Icons of Change International Awards Committee, celebrates individuals whose work creates lasting social transformation. This year, Atikur Rahman’s leadership and advisory role in Talk Hope—a pioneering project for suicide prevention and mental health awareness in Bangladesh—was a central focus of his recognition.

His vision and mentorship have helped shape the project’s mission of giving hope, saving lives, and breaking the stigma surrounding mental illness.
Beyond Talk Hope, Atikur Rahman is a seasoned Rotarian with a long record of humanitarian service in areas such as education, public health, youth leadership, and disaster relief. His belief in “service above self” has made him a respected figure in both community and business circles.
Reacting to the honour, Atikur Rahman expressed deep gratitude:
“This award is not only a personal achievement, but a recognition of the shared vision and hard work of the entire Talk Hope family. Mental health matters, and together we can ensure that every individual feels valued, supported, and heard.”
