Andrei Tapalaga has made quite the scene in the previous years with his writings on history. Despite not having an academic historical background, his independent research and passion of presenting historical events has captivated many readers, in fact over 30 million. His work has been known to be criticized due to the factual way that is been presented and also for approaching very sensitive historical arguments.
On the other hand, he has shown a lot of promising potential with his writings in History of Yesterday. He was also noticed as a Journalist for NewsBrake, but has seem to stopped writing for them. After reading some of his more popular work it has come clear that his approach is more about explaining history in a very unbiased way whilst showing different perspectives to a story.
His work has quite a mark, as it has even been used in numerous occasions in academic papers and even history books. Talking about history books, Tapalaga has made his first appearance in this scenery in 2021 with his first book entitled “In The Memory of History: Volume I: The Struggles and Impact of History’s Most Incredible People.” An incredible book about people who have lived through struggle and their stories have been vanished, until now (quoting the author).
Despite this, the author is focusing on making this a very captivating read despite being on the smaller size. He has always presented history in a more factual way, making history more of a story rather than a boring lesson about World War 2. The importance that the author pushes in many of his writings, but also in this book is that there are many life lessons to be learned from history, especially people that have faced great struggles due to different factors.
After speaking with the author, his second debut and continuing the series will come in November 2023. His focus seems to shift more now towards books rather than articles and journals which makes sense for a writer of his rank.
