What happens during otoplasty?

What does recovery look like?

A gauze or a soft compression bandage will be wrapped around your head. Non-dissolvable dressings will be removed in about a week. You can gently wash, but the incisions need to be protected. For the first two weeks, it is recommended to avoid swimming, hot tubs or submerging the head in the water. You might experience swelling, which should subside in three days.
