Description
Based on the brand-new ADI’s award-winning iCoupler technology which is a safe, trustworthy and easy–to-use alternative for optoisolators (optocouplers), the dual channel digital isolator ADUM1201ARZ functions efficiently avoiding drawbacks caused by the use of LEDs and photodiodes. With this wafer-level manufacturing process, not only up to 75% of the PCB spaces are reduced but also 1/10-1/6 power consumptions are saved.
Moreover, stable as it is, ADUM1201ARZ has superior performance even in a limited power supply (less than 3ns pulse distortions) and provides strong bidirectional communications between channels. As to the working temperature, the capacity of ADUM1201ARZ carried would not drop down under a high temperature like 125℃ so it has been well adopted in the automobile industry. Hints for Using
Though ADUM1201ARZ needs no further discrete devices or external drivers, it is advised to implement a power supply at the input & output supply pins.
Attention, the value of the capacitor ought to be at 0.01 μF-0.1 μF, while the lead length between the input power supply pin and both terminals of the capacitor must not exceed 20 mm.
Given that excessive magnetic field might cause inefficiency to ADUM1201ARZ, Easybom also suggests you take notice of the maximum allowance of that, which is depicted as the chart below:
