Australian entrepreneur and Kinnara co-founder Adrian James Campbell has initiated civil legal proceedings in Bali following a campaign of publications he and his legal team describe as false and defamatory.
Adrian James Campbell, co-founder of Kinnara Asia — one of Southeast Asia’s leading AI-driven property platforms — has filed a civil defamation lawsuit at Pengadilan Negeri Denpasar, Bali, against a number of parties in connection with the Marina Bay City development in Lombok, Indonesia.
Campbell, who has been based in Asia for over 15 years with the majority of that time spent in Indonesia, states that a sustained campaign of online publications has caused significant reputational and commercial damage to both himself and Kinnara. An independent external audit, completed by a qualified Indonesian professional, has confirmed that all obligations were met in full and that no Director received any unauthorised payment or benefit.
The proceedings, filed through Hendarman Law Firm Jakarta (case ref. 052/HLF/G/III/2026), seek both material and immaterial damages, a daily compulsory fine, and a public apology to be published across major Indonesian and international media. Campbell has stated he intends to pursue the matter fully through the Indonesian courts.
