As high school students, many dreams about the day that they get to go away to college. Some look forward to progressing in life and some just want to get out of their parent’s homes. Whatever the motivation that means they are going to have to make decisions about what kind of career they are going to pursue. There are so many different options out there that it can be really overwhelming at first. It is a lot of pressure to choose something that you will enjoy but also will provide the kind of lifestyle that you want. There are things such as accounting, business, education, music, or trade school.
Accounting
If you are a person that enjoys an answer for things, working with numbers, and doesnt want to directly work with consumers accounting may be a good option for you. You will still get to work with clients occasionally but you will mostly be working by yourself or with your colleagues. This gives you a chance to work with all kinds of businesses and you may even want to specialize in different types of accounting. There is construction accounting, healthcare accounting, agricultural accounting, and more. This allows you to have some variety in your work but a core of what you are doing which is working with numbers.
Business
There are many different options for careers within the business industry. You could be an entrepreneur, work for a large corporate company, do sales, or really do anything that has to do with a business. Within the business world, you can work your way up to the top of a business if you really want to. If owning a business does not appeal to you, you could be at the top of a company but dont have the financial risk associated with owning a business. One downfall that some people may find within the business world is that you work for someone else and that sometimes people can be intense.
Education
Most of us have relied on the education system at some point in our life whether it was for ourselves when we were younger or for our children. The education system is dependent on good people that choose to be apart of it. They want to become teachers and take on the important role of teaching kids. Teachers or others in the education system are crucial to our society. There is something special about those that choose to take care of the next generations and help shape them into good people.
Music
There is something about music, it is therapeutic for many. For some individuals, music is what they use to communicate with others and makes them feel whole. For those individuals, it makes sense for them to major in music. To learn more about music including how to create it for others or teach it to others. Singing, playing an instrument, or any other form of making music can be taught to others. If it helps one individual, they want to show how it can help others.
